The Real World Wave can unlock the potential of the softest breaks right through to firing world class venues. Covering almost the whole spectrum of wave sailing, the Real World Wave boards provide an immense range.
Already the 2007 models where probably the most balanced wave boards on the market. The magazines confirmed that they had no weaknesses. They work for small and big waves (up to mast high) as well as for front and back foot riding style.
DEVELOMENT FOCUS
We progressed further the concept of offering a versatile board for all sorts of conditions, not just small waves and light wind. We worked heavily on carving ability, grip and looseness on the waves, particularly in the bigger waves.
SHAPE NEWS
- The concept is still based on the wide, short body idea for early planing, stability and a compact feel whilst maintaining a big sail and wind range.
- Slightly narrower, especially in the tail, makes the board really predictable and smooth in the bottom turn. Off the top the board snaps around tight and aerials come naturally. It’s now much easier to get in the right place at the right time on any wave.
- Additional curve in the bottom makes the board release onto the plane smoothly and consistently, resulting in impressive acceleration and top speed.
- A flatter deck produces an instant reaction to foot steering and snappy turns take on a new meaning. The speed of your cut backs and re-entries will stun every rider. The feedback through the board oozes confidence to the rider allowing a real go-for-it attitude!
- Refined tuck and rail create the ideal mix of grip and forgiveness when railed up for radical turns. Very soft and round in the mid area of the board sharpening gradually to a razor sharp thin tail which does not allow the tail to break out - not even on the fastest most radical turns.
NEW FIN
The new fin was developed in the same direction as the boards. Narrower base combined with a more constant rake for better maneuverability and additional area in the tip for more power makes it the perfect combination.
SUMMARY
Real World Wave boards which work in any wave conditions you can think of with unmatched early planing. They demand very little input from the rider. But, if you want, you can also get radical with them. Apart from its great ability in the waves it is also a fantastically fun board in bump-and-jump conditions.
